News Archive - September 2001 - More Approvals & Standards

Offshore Electronics have decided to adopt IPC-A-610 Class 3 as our minimum workmanship standard. We are currently training our entire workforce in its implementation. Details of the IPC standards can be found at www.ipc.org.

TUV Product Services

In conjunction with one of our key customers, Offshore Electronics has received an assessment and inspection of our production facility from TUV Product Services. As a result we have received product specific manufacturing approval from TUV.
 
 
 Clean Bill of Health from UL

Another of our key customers require UL approvals on key components. During a recent visit by UL assessors, an inspection of our material supply and control systems revealed a clean bill of health.
 
 
 DERA Marine Assessment

As a requirement for our customer to receive DERA approval for their marine equipment, Offshore Electronics has under gone an assessment of our production facility and Quality Management System. DERA inspectors were entirely satisfied and have now approved the equipment.
 
 
 BS EN ISO9001:2000

Our Quality Management System is presently undergoing change to meet the requirements of the new BS EN ISO9001:2000. We expect to fully meet the standard by July 2002, the date of our next triennial assessment.
 
 
 For the Future.....The Environment & ISO14001

Always with a careful eye on our environment, we are evaluating the “ISO14001:1996 - Environmental Management Systems” standard with the view of introducing it into our company.
