Test & Validation
Quality control and testing is a critical part of our contract electronics manufacturing service, providing full accountability and confidence in our procurement, prototyping and engineering processes. Just as important, we manage all quality approvals for electronics assembly and production, providing each customer with a fully validated product that is fit for purpose.
We have a dedicated team of highly skilled quality inspectors and test engineers, who work closely with your designers and product specialists to ensure that our procedures complement your quality control systems.
We comply with a range of nationally and internationally recognised quality standards, plus customer defined requirements. In each case, we use the latest test and monitoring technologies, all of which are regularly checked and calibrated by independent specialists, and are linked directly to our business and process control systems for long term recording and analysis.
Our quality systems and procedures include:
- Automatic testing capabilities using Teradyne Z1888 or Z1890
- On board and pre-programming capability
- JTAG and boundary scan test capabilities
- AOI inspection
- Surface mount and BGA rework to IPC standards
- Functional board and unit test and calibration including soak tests, result logging, safety flash testing
- Design and manufacture of bespoke test rigs to improve test repeatability and improve test times to minimise manufacturing costs
- Micro camera for inspecting underneath BGA’s and other surface mount devices
